2007 Artist Lineup

Allan Holdsworth, Gary Husband, Yves Carbonne, Jane Getter, Jason Smith, Simon Harris, Riptyde

Gary Husband
is that rare and prodigious musician who performs masterfully on two instruments -- keyboards and drums. A Meeting of Spirits has been been acclaimed for its originaly, improvisation, and a sweeping musical homage to the music of John McLaughlin, and is the follow up release to Husband's ambitious first piano work examining guitarist Allan Holdsworth's unique conception as a composer, The Things I See. Husband is a composer, arranger, improvisor, touring member of Level 42, and long time collaborator with guitarist Allan Holdsworth. You can see the VIDEO PREVIEW of Husband performing selections from this landmark recording live here on the Alternity site.

Yves Carbonne is a sonic innovator with his 10 and 12 string fretless sub-bass instruments, and was signed to the label earlier this year. His debut release Seven Waves showcases an eclectic journey through jazz, R&B, spirituals, and rock anchored by the soulful voice of his seismic instrument. Carbonne collaborated on an album of original songs, and several instrumentals in his first Alternity Release, which features the powerful voice of singer Guillame Eyango, and guest appearances by Michael Manring and others.
